Travel the Globe With
Timeshares
If you are interested in
traveling the globe, whether
that means perusing every
corner of a favorite country
like Vietnam, or exploring a
new locale every year,
you've probably thought more
than once about how to make
such a venture more
affordable. If you've ever
looked into discount
air-fare, packed and
repacked so as to only check
one bag or eaten spicy
noodle soup four days in a
row, you're clearly serious
about saving funds for the
enjoyable, rather than
practical aspects of your
vacation. You've also likely
struggled to find affordable
yet appropriate
accommodations.
Timeshares are Flexible and
Convenient
One option you might not
have considered is to
purchase a timeshare resale.
Many vacationers mistakenly
assume that a vacation
property will tie you down
to one location for the life
of your contract or deed,
but in fact, this
misconception couldn't be
farther from the truth.
Timeshares are not only
affordable, but extremely
flexible. A vacation
property in your favorite
region of Vietnam can easily
translate into lodging in
South Africa, California,
Australia or France, just to
name a few.
Because when you buy
timeshare you're actually
purchasing an increment of
time, rather than actual
property, it's easy to trade
this time (generally one
week) for a week at one of
thousands of timeshare resorts in the
world. There are a couple of
methods for exchanging your
timeshare for travel.
Buy Timeshare With a
Vacation Club
You can choose to buy
timeshare with a vacation
club like Marriott, HGVC or
Hyatt timeshare. Generally,
ownership at one of their
affiliated resorts grants
access to all in-network
resorts. These vacation
clubs guarantee a certain
level of quality, so
therefore tend to be more
expensive than other
timeshares, but you can buy
timeshare with a well-known
resort chain for a fraction
of what you might pay buying
direct when you purchase
from a previous owner
through a third-party timeshare reseller. With resale
you can bypass the resort
entirely and secure large,
luxuriously appointed
accommodations without
overextending your budget.
Or Purchase Membership With
an Exchange Company
Your other option for using
your timeshare to travel the
globe is to purchase
membership with an exchange
company like Resort
Condominiums International,
also known as RCI timeshare, or Interval
International. These
companies are affiliated
with thousands of resorts
all over the world. When you
own an affiliated property
and have a membership,
you've essentially been
given access to all the
resorts in their network.
You can trade time at your
property for time at any
resort of similar quality,
or trade your property for
points, bank them and then
purchase time at a resort of
even higher quality.
Let Timeshares Take You
Around the World
Whether you want to return
to a different region of
Vietnam every year, or
you're interested in
exploring a new country each
time your usage renews, a
timeshare is the perfect way
to save on accommodations
without sacrificing quality.
